Rob
was born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts. In the late 1990s
through the mid 2000s, he served as a network administrator for
a large international company with offices around the globe. As
a result, he has traveled to such places as Asia, South America
and Europe to name a few. On New Years Eve 2005, he told his partner
Rich that he was ready to make a change in careers and that he wanted
to look into the possibility of purchasing the Carriage Trade Inn.
Running a B&B
has not been an entirely strange experience for Rob. Rich and his
sister, Donna Andersen, have owned a large B&B called Breakfast
on the Connecticut in Lyme, New Hampshire for more than seven
years. Several years ago, Rob began to help Donna out and she taught
him some of her secrets for running an award-winning B&B. Thus,
when the opportunity presented itself for Rob to run his own B&B,
he took the leap and moved to Maine from Brookline. Today, rather
than dealing with network outages and implementation of the latest
technology, Rob is juggling recipes for some very delicious and
not so ordinary breakfast dishes and baked goods.
Rich is a lawyer
in Boston, where he has his own firm which concentrates on business
litigation. He has not quit his “day job” but helps
Rob on weekends and vacations. Rich and Rob have three sons, Nathan
(21), Dan (19) and Nick (16). Rich and Rob were married in Boston,
Massachusetts over Thanksgiving, 2004.
